Melvin Peckerwood and The Mama's Boys - Yo Mama!

First off, there is no 'Melvin Peckerwood'. This band has gone through many changes over the years, and why they settled on this one for their recording debut is a mystery to us, but perhaps it comes from their Southern roots.  Same way with 'The Mama's Boys', but it was probably chosen from the title of their first release, 'Yo Mama!'

This band began as a cover band, mostly rock and roll from the '50s and '60s. They gradually began writing their own material, and started to insert it in their gigs to get the crowds reaction. Crowds got to know their own material and approved! Their style is something they used in all the years of playing those covers, so it stands to reason their original material would be in the same style.

Melvin Peckerwood and The Mama's Boys
You yell at me: Yo mama!
Yo mama's mama
Yo mama's mama's mama!!

WELLLL....

Leave my mama out of this,or you'll pay the price!
All the way back to when my way back mama lived in a cave,
To talk about my mama isn't very nice!

You wanna have a tussle?
Well, I'll tell ya I'm game!
You wanna go and wrassle?
Well, I'll tell ya the same!
But there ain't no need to get personal,
And defame my mama's name!
Leave mah mama out of this, or you'll pay the price!

We can rumble in the front,
we can tumble in the back!
We can stumble on the side,
but it won't be very nice!
Leave mah mama out of this, or you'll pay the price!
All the way back to when my way back mama lived in a cave,
To talk about my mama isn't very nice!

Man, you just don't know yer place!
Talk 'bout my mama, and I mess with yo face!
Keep yellin' yo mama, I'll tell ya no lie,
Tie your tongue 'round yo neck like a red bow tie!
To talk about my mama's sure ain't nice! Leave mah mama out of this, or you'll pay the price!

No it ain't nice!
You'll pay the price!
OOOOOOOOOOH!
